A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Luna County Criminal History does not retain or log those search words on its own systems.

An email may be kept as needed to respond. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the servers to receive routine technical information about the visit:

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Luna County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Luna County Sheriff's Office, New Mexico courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety repository, and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices apply to information submitted to its tool. Those choices are beyond this site's control, so review the provider's policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to Luna County offices, New Mexico court and agency portals, legal resources, or private search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy terms govern. Review them before providing personal information.
An advertising provider may use its own systems to track activity across websites and select ads. That tracking is controlled by the provider.

Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be removed upon a valid request.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide additional rights. New Mexico's Inspection of Public Records Act, Sections 14-2-1 through 14-2-12 NMSA 1978, governs access to public-agency records and does not turn this private site into a government custodian. Section 29-10-6 NMSA 1978 separately controls a person's access to their own state arrest-record information. For data held by this site, a user may:
- Request deletion of applicable personal data
- Ask what personal information is held
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Opt out of processing where the law provides that choice
